Simply put, this slice of software is perfect for jazz, hip-hop and big-band beats and, depending on how you use it, you're getting up to 116(!) velocity steps. We kid you not. Plus a round robin algorithm, so feel free to play away without worrying about the classic machine-gun effect. Also, you can build custom kits using Yamaha, Rogers Holiday, Gretsch, Ludwid, Slingerland, Pearl, Hope, Stratford, Racksnare and LP drums. The cymbals are Zildjians, Sabians and Spirals. While picking out a brush kit is highly personal, Moonkits is arguably one of the better, more affordable choices right now.
